A new trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming Monster Eater “light anime” series, which also highlights the main opening theme song. The series will premiere in Japan on April 2, 2026.
The opening theme showcased in the trailer is “Shoki no Sata” by NEE. The ending theme for the series is “STORY” by niina.
Hikaru Sato is directing the light anime, with Kazuya Takahashi in charge of the production supervision and nanogram.inc providing production assistance. IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio are handling the animation production.
The main voice cast that were confirmed in the trailer includes Makoto Furukawa as Rudd and Yuki Nakashima as Elyssia.
The original fantasy light novel series is written by Renkino and illustrated by Kawaku. It was published by Earth Star Entertainment from August 18, 2023 to January 17, 2024 and released two total volumes in Japan. The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on March 31, 2023.
LINE Manga launched a webtoon adaptation on June 29, 2024, which is drawn by Kei Ichimatsu and Tanako Tanao. A separate manga adaptation by TATE was launched on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service on August 21, 2024.
